Android Users :-

  • Open your laptop and search for the official website web.whatsapp.com

  • When the window opens, use the QR scanner within web WhatsApp to scan the code.

To scan the QR follow the guidelines :

  • Open WhatsApp from your android device.
  • You can see three dots in the top-right corner of the chat page.
  • Now click on the WhatsApp Web from the options.
  • Direct the camera of your phone at the QR code (on your PC).

After successfully pairing your phone with the laptop, you shall be ready to enjoy the Whatsapp web.

iPhone Users :-

  • Open your laptop and search for the official website web.whatsapp.com
  • Now go the homepage and click on WhatsApp Web.
  • When the window opens, use the QR scanner within web WhatsApp to scan the code.

  • Open WhatsApp from your iOS device.
  • Click on the Settings.
  • Now click on the WhatsApp Web from the options.
  • Direct the camera of your phone at the QR code(on your PC).

After successfully pairing your phone with the laptop, you shall be ready to enjoy the Whatsapp web.

View and Share ‘Status’ on WhatsApp web

You can now view the statuses on the WhatsApp web from the newly updated version 0.2.5854. When you are logged into your web WhatsApp you can see a circular icon just beside your profile picture.

 Click on the icon and you shall be redirected to a new page where you can view all the status of your contacts. As said, the visual interface is the same as your mobile phone. Use it the way you handle to see your statuses on the phone. You will also be able to reply to the active status.

The ‘status’ feature allows you to even share your photos, videos, texts, emojis and others. Remember, the status shall remain visible for 24 hours before disappearing.

How to enable DARK MODE in WhatsApp web

WhatsApp has finally released the much-awaited Dark Mode feature to the android users (beta). But, unfortunately, there is no such official announcement for the dark mode to be available on web WhatsApp.

  Here are some tips and tricks if you want a black color to your WhatsApp web.

Make sure you are using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox as your browser.

Chrome :-

  • Go to the Chrome Web Store and install the STYLUS extension.
  • Once successfully installed, choose the dark theme by clicking “Install Style”.

Firefox :-

How to Log Out from WhatsApp web

You must remember that unless and until you log out from your PC, you shall remain active as long as there is an internet connection in your PC or Mac. Logging out from the WhatsApp Web is quite easy. It can be done in two ways.

  1. Logout from Whatsapp Web on PC :-

Step 1 : Click on the three dots in the left-hand corner.

Step 2 : Click on logout.

  • Logout on WhatsApp Web from Mobile :-

Step 1 : Open the WhatsApp from your mobile.

Step 2 : Click on the three dots available in the topmost right corner.

Using multiple accounts on WhatsApp web

Some people have dual sims with two WhatsApp account on their phones. Even people can have multiple accounts by using dual apps and other such things.

In this case, you should know you can use WhatsApp provides only one account to be used on your web. But you can still have access to other accounts at the same time.

To do that, you will need to open WhatsApp Web in two different browsers, such as Chrome, Opera, or Firefox. If you do not have any other browser You can also access it through Chrome Incognito mode, but that logs out after an hour.

Disadvantages of WhatsApp web

Each and everything in the world has both pros and cons. Similarly Whatsapp Web has also some disadvantages, which makes mobile apps to be preferred by everyone.

Here’s a list of things you can’t do with WhatsApp web.

  • You cannot make or receive Voice Calls and Video Calls.
  • You cannot send a WhatsApp Broadcast.
  • You cannot share your current location.
  • No Dark Theme available.
  • You cannot post status (only rare latest updates).
